Glossary

F

filter

A filter is an option in the recommendation logic. When users click on an answer in the selector, the platform sorts the products (which you save as rows in the CSV file) as suitable or unsuitable. Unsuitable products will not appear on the result page. You will need to configure a filter for each question in the workbench. Whether a product matches an answer or not is defined within the columns of the CSV file. You need to create a separate column for each filter.

M

matrix

The matrix is a recommendation logic option. You enter a value between 0 and 1 for each product and answer in the workbench. When a user clicks on answers in the questionnaire, the platform calculates a score by multiplying the values. The product with the highest score appears at the top of the results page. If the matrix has a value of 0 for an answer, the product is sorted out and not displayed.

R

recommendation logic

Logic that decides which product is recommended after the questions have been answered. We distinguish between filters, matrix and rules.

rules

Rules are a recommendation logic option. You configure rules that cause the platform to perform various calculations and display dynamic text elements on the result page. This can be used, for example, to generate customized offers.

S

Refers to the entire visible user experience of the recommendation process. This includes the questionnaire, result page, contact form, and thank-you-page.

W
