Giving feedback on search results

The AI feature Feedback allows users to give the AI feedback on the result by clicking on thumbs up or down.

You can find the feature in the workbench under Algorithm > AI > Feedback Settings.

Configure feedback

1. Select the checkbox next to Accept Feedback to activate the feature.

2. Switch to Result Page > Product Sections.

3. Click on Add Section and select Feedback.

Consider feedback in future requests

You can configure the AI to take user feedback into account for future requests. The AI therefore learns from the feedback and optimizes the results.

To do this, activate the Consider Feedback in Search toggle.

Example: You want to do a test round with several users in staging mode and the expected result should be the same for all testers during the test period. Only activate the function after all users have tested so that one person's feedback does not affect the other person's test.

Setting the feedback similarity threshold

The feedback similarity threshold defines how similar two search queries must be for the AI to take feedback on a search result into account for similar future searches.

A high threshold value (e.g. 0.85-0.95) means that only very similar requests receive the feedback. A low threshold would also take into account the feedback for less similar search queries.

1. Activate the Toggle Feedback Similarity Threshold.

2. Drag the toggle to the desired position.

💡The closer the value is to 1, the more likely it is that the feedback given will be taken into account in a similar search query. Recommendation: 0.85 - 0.95.

Example: You are looking for high-performance laptops and give feedback on a recommended laptop X. If you or someone else later searches for high-end laptops, the AI checks whether your feedback is relevant for this new request.

Remove feedback from the search

Click on Reset feedback. This removes all previous feedback from the AI search.
